‘DJilba A Moment in Time’ By Floeur Alder and Virginia Ward (Djilba:Spring)
Pack a picnic and head to the riverside gardens of Ford House, for Djilba: A Moment in Time, a captivating performance from acclaimed dancer & choreographer, Floeur Alder, in collaboration with sculptor and writer, Virginia Ward.
Inspired by the Rainbow Coast in Western Australia’s Great Southern region, the work intertwines dance, poetry, sound and projection to celebrate Djilba, the season of transition and emergence.
This performance is aligned to sit alongside the Blackwood Arts Trail, who are showing Floeur's new critically acclaimed film Pointe:Dancing on a Knife's Edge as part of the Blackwood River Film Festival.
Sure to enchant everyone, young and young at heart! Dance lovers, nature lovers and enthusiastic theatre goers- come along for a beautiful evening among the gum trees and setting skies of the Blackwood river.
