She is Strong is an intimate show which welcomes you into the hidden world of circus women. Through Circus, Photography and storytelling, three artists share their strength and vulnerability as they delve into motherhood, injuries and mental struggles, all while supporting one another (sometimes very literally).

Photography plays a large role in storytelling. There is an exhibition as you enter and throughout the performance, it shows a deeper insight into the artists’ lives offstage. Further imagery and audio gathered at our Balingup Story Sessions bring the work closer to home, as multiple women’s stories come into the spotlight, showing that we are all connected, and we share so much more than meets the eye.

THE SHOW EXPERIENCE

The experience begins with an exhibition as you enter the Hall, featuring an array of photography and projection, of both performers and local women - which sets the stage for the journey that follows.

Once seated, the show begins with a dazzling display of strength and grace, captivating

you with its extravagance while accompanied by feminist quotes, acrobatics, dance, comedy and electro-swing music.

However this is only the outer layer.

As the artists shed their glittering facades, they reveal their true selves, sharing personal stories of both strength and vulnerability.

The climax of the performance is a trio dance-trapeze act that symbolizes sisterhood and celebrates the collective strength of women. The choreography and authentic joy is a powerful testament to the bonds which are created when women support one another.

'She is Strong' is a 90-minute experience that takes you on an emotional journey, celebrating the resilience and power of women. It offers a unique blend of entertainment, introspection, and community.

• Doors will open 60 minutes before the show to allow for mingling and viewing the exhibition.

• General seating, no reserved. The performance will be in-the-round style with chairs, rugs and cushions.

• The hall is suitable for disabilty accesss.

• Suitable for all ages but parental guidance recommended for under 12's
