David Scheel In Growing Old UN Gracefully

Growing Old Ungracefully is a hilarious take on the ageing process, a personal view as David’s own hair begins to change colour! Nothing is sacred: health issues, dodgy product labelling, scammers targeting older people, even the taboos of sex, religion and politics! This is high class, sophisticated and witty comedy from an older person with a very sharp, young mind. And among it all, David’s trademark brilliance on the piano intersperses all the fun with beautiful music. This is a show not to be missed.

David Scheel was born in South Australia and began his career as an actor in numerous Australian films and TV series before moving to the UK, where he soon found himself starring in the hugely successful satirical “News Revue” a kind of British stage version of “Saturday Night Live”. The result was Don’t Shoot Me I’m Only the Piano Player, a hit in London’s West End, at 3 consecutive Edinburgh festivals, leading to more than 1000 appearances on British radio and television.

Since returning to Australia David has also moved into the American market with equal success, his shows selling out from coast to coast.Growing Old Ungracefully is David’s latest offering, another superb blend of up-to-date comedy and memorable music.
